  • $100,032 – 108,979 Base + 17% Superannuation

About the opportunity

As a Senior Project Officer, you will provide project coordination and operational support to achieve the Research Portfolio’s objectives. This is an opportunity to drive new business initiatives and utilize your strategic thinking and consultative skills.

You will work with a range of staff and provide project management support to multiple work streams within a multi-faceted and complex program of work within the Post Award Strategic Initiatives Team. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives, Post-Award and other members of the Post-Award team

  • provide end-to-end project coordination for Research Portfolio projects on grant management, process improvements, and quality assurance and compliance

  • support the mapping of key project resources and stakeholders required to establish and commence projects

  • develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with multiple project stakeholders

  • develop and implement project governance and reporting procedures to monitor and control progress

  • identify and analyse emerging risks and threats to operational efficiency, compliance and program implementation

  • identify and analyse opportunities for business and process improvements within the Post Award teams

  • develop resources and training for the Post Award teams and other key stakeholders to communicate planning and implementation of projects and procedures

About you

  • relevant experience in delivering complex projects

  • experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation

  • experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders on large or complex projects

  • critical thinking, analytical skills, and exceptional planning abilities, with the ability to work independently towards strict deadlines

  • effective team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • ability to positively influence key stakeholders in the successful delivery of project outcomes

  • dedication to improving business processes and procedures

  • business analysis and change management experience and/or qualifications might be beneficial to the role.
