About the opportunity
The Senior Project Officer within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research will provide project management guidance to support the implementation of key strategies and programs of work across all research teams within the Brain and Mind Centre. Focusing on the administrative elements and relationships maintenance, the Senior Project Officer will also manage project financials, prepare status reports, support the development and implementation of project plans, build stakeholder relationships and manages project-related communications.
Further accountabilities of the Senior Project Officer include;
- work effectively and collaboratively with the Administrative Services Unit team, the Brain and Mind Centre researchers, the University administrative teams, partner organisations and other stakeholders
- manage business processes from commencement to completion, with consideration of change management, risk management and evaluation
- manage the Brain and Mind Centre research development and philanthropic support schemes from commencement and throughout an evaluation of applications to awards
- identify timelines and key milestones to develop range of reports, including escalation of risks and issues as they arise
- develop new and utilise existing data collection pipelines for dynamic reporting of the Brain and Mind Centre Key Performance Indicators
- prepare project updates, correspondence, requests for briefs, meeting agendas and minutes and other written advice for the Brain and Mind Centre executive leadership team
- participate in and provide secretariat and management support to project and stakeholder meetings.

- experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects
- flexibility and adaptability when faced with conflicting and changing priorities.
