The Opportunity

The Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) program is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to play a crucial role in coordinating high-level projects that drive innovation and excellence. This position demands a proactive approach to liaising between project teams, university departments and external clients, ensuring seamless communication and efficient delivery of project goals. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing comprehensive project documentation and providing timely updates and reports that keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.


This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks from drafting correspondence and scheduling meetings to managing events and providing secretarial support for the Co-Directors and committees. The Senior Project Officer will also be at the heart of facilitating effective communication and workflow, ensuring that every aspect of the project is handled with precision and professionalism.

We are seeking someone with high-level project management skills, coupled with proven abilities to establish priorities, allocate resources and meet deadlines. Strong relationship management skills are also essential, as you will need to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
