  • Commencement Salary: $119,598 per annum plus 17% superannuation

About the role

You will lead, coordinate and execute key projects aligned to the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Undertaking responsibilities that are both strategic and operational as required, the Senior Project Manager will work to establish sound and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in achieving the project deliverables.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor provides support and has overall responsibility for managing the Vice Chancellor’s and the Enterprise Leadership Team’s strategic agenda and supporting functions. Functions within the Office of the Vice Chancellor include General Counsel and University Secretary, Risk and Assurance Services and a strategic project team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the initiation of projects to deliver on the University’s strategic priorities including scoping and preparing comprehensive and financially sound business cases and proposals
  • Develop and implement change management plans associated with the realisation of strategic projects
  • Prepare high quality submissions and status reports on project progress and achievements for project sponsors and senior leaders
  • Provide high level executive support to committees and working groups as required

Skills and Experience

You will be able to apply your project management methodologies, techniques and experience to implement a range of strategic priorities within the higher education environment. You will also hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent skills and knowledge, together with the ability to understand strategic opportunities, business needs and the political context.
