About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join the team in Finance at UniSA. As the Senior Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of procurement advice and support services and driving procurement initiatives across the University.

Core Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement tender documentation, evaluation criteria, contracts and associated legal documents for the procurement of goods and services
  • Coordinate purchase acquisitions in line with procurement controls and Vice Chancellor Authorisations
  • Analyse and interpret supplier proposal information on procurement requirements
  • Provide high level procurement business support to the wider University, involving extensive interactions both within and external to the University
  • Contract management of agreements ranging from minor to high value complex arrangements including conducting KPI/ pricing trend analysis reporting
  • Maintain high levels of service management by strengthening relationships, drive quality and service improvement


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in procurement or similar
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end procurement projects and provide advice and support to stakeholders
  • Experience in the tender process including development of tender documentation, evaluation of tenders, and the ongoing management and measurement of the agreements/contracts
  • Drafting and contract negotiation experience with a good understanding of relevant contract law and management
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex and pressured environment, independently and as an effective team member
