About the position
This role will develop, implement, and deliver pricing strategies, processes, models and analysis that create strategic and competitive commercial opportunities for La Trobe University’s diverse portfolio of courses, products and markets.
Skills and Experience
- Develop La Trobe University’s Pricing Strategy including defining the rationale to consider LTU’s value, brand and sustainability, supporting long term positioning and ultimate competitiveness reflective of growing reputation and global rankings.
- Provide strategic pricing recommendations based on descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics with actionable insights to internal stakeholders, reflecting competitive and commercial considerations to achieve strategic objectives.
- Working with regulatory and compliance requirements, analyse available data, to prepare, conduct and deliver strategic insights and positioning including: macro-economic, game theory and strategy development.
- Develop and deliver innovative pricing and financial models, setting up best-practice principles, methodologies, monitor and controls and ensuring most relevant and competitive market prices.
- Collaborate across the organisation including Finance, Operations, Marketing, Product and Schools to define scalable process and workflows for price strategies and annual setting and modification.
- Identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks in professional area of responsibility that may have an impact on the University to enable appropriate and timely action to be administered, reporting where appropriate.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in business, finance, marketing or commerce with a significant focus on quantitative analysis or statistics.
- 5+ years’ experience in consulting, advisory, market research, data analytics and/or related roles.
