About the Role
As a Senior Officer in HR Assist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of a wide range of HR services at the University. 

Your HR knowledge and expertise will enable you to apply best practices aligned with the Enterprise Agreement and Policies throughout the employee lifecycle. You’ll enjoy a customer centric approach and will solve complicated and time-sensitive tasks, provide operational solutions to meet business needs, and engage with various stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery. 

Your focus on finding solutions and contribution to the HR Assist team's ongoing continuous improvement activities will help us achieve excellence in HR at the University.

Your responsibilities will include: 


  • Provide a comprehensive HR guidance and advice, ensuring adherence to University practices 
  • Support HR Business Partner Group with operational matters for holistic service delivery 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, promoting end-user self-service and supporting our employees in a range of queries  
  • Support various HR Lifecycle tasks such as preparing documentation, updating HRIS systems and knowledge development  

Who we are looking for
You’ll be driven by finding solutions and applying the best HR practices. You’ll have customer service at the front of your mind and by working closely with various stakeholders, you'll be able to collaborate positively and flexibly, both as part of a team and independently. You'll enjoy managing a diverse range of tasks, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and using various systems and processes to ensure the timely delivery of services. 

You will also have: 


  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training 
  • The ability to work in a high volume, HR shared services environment, including meeting tight deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands 
  • Significant experience working with HR information and online service management systems, such as Oracle HR and ServiceNow or Workday
