Salary package: $109,945 - $117,567 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Continuing (Contingent Funded) appointment for up to 24 months

The Position
The Senior Mechatronics Specialist will work within the Department of Materials Physics, Research School of Physics as part of a multi-disciplinary team conducting imaging science research and developing cutting-edge automated imaging instruments.  The Senior Mechatronics Specialist will undertake projects to develop mechatronic and data acquisition systems, including gathering requirements, identifying the appropriate technology in hardware and software, and ensuring that all relevant standards are met .

The Person
We are looking for a qualified Mechatronic Specialist with experience in management of complex mechatronics assignments relating to robotics and data acquisition, entailing technical specifications, design, testing, detailed planning and delivery of support documentation. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
