About the role
The ANU Advancement portfolio provides leadership and support across the University in developing meaningful and sustainable relationships with ANU alumni, donors, and the broader community, securing long-term philanthropic investment and ensuring the strong management of existing philanthropic funds and accountability to the university’s donors. This is achieved through directing activity exclusively towards supporting, amplifying, and propelling the University’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives, in service to its ever-changing priorities and areas of greatest need. The Marketing Communications team, as part of the Alumni & Community Engagement team, is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy and communications support for Advancement. This includes the planning and provision of communications for philanthropic development, donor stewardship and alumni relations.

The Senior Marketing & Communications Officer provides high level, comprehensive support on a diverse range of marketing and communications activities, including the development and delivery of web-related projects, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of activities. The Senior Marketing & Communications Officer liaises with senior management and provides robust assistance and advice on a wide range of marketing, outreach and communications services, policies, procedures and guidelines, and coordinates initiatives to support the achievement of the University’s strategic goals.
