About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to further grow your leadership profile in a role with significant impact of cultural practice and strategic outcomes. Using your exceptional people skills and business acumen you will drive collaborative way of working, excellence in service delivery and promote a message of value and achievement to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Recruitment, the Senior Manager, Student Recruitment (Offshore) manages a team of recruitment staff across several geographies to develop and implement an offshore student recruitment plan to achieve student acquisition targets in designated markets. Additionally, you will play a vital role in optimising relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating the value of the team and its strategic role with the University.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of student recruitment staff, in Melbourne and overseas, to develop and deliver an integrated student recruitment and conversion plan for students located offshore to ensure relevant University targets are met.
  • Support achievement on strategic goals of Future Students through proactively engaging, sharing information, seeking feedback and collaborating across teams within, and beyond, Future Students.
  • Contribute to, and ensure the delivery of, the University’s international student diversification plans under the Advancing Melbourne strategy, leading the development of new market opportunities.

You bring stakeholders on the journey of the Future Students team, using your communication and analytical skills to turn data into a compelling message of achievement and value.

You will also have:

  • The appointee will have: A relevant postgraduate qualification with management experience relating to student recruitment, or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education and/or experience.
  • Previous experience with undertaking student recruitment and/or selection within a tertiary education context
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience in developing and delivering organisational plans, aligning organisational strategies, and balancing resourcing demands within a complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, encourage a collaborative and effective work environment

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services (SASS)
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation.  This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The Future Students team sits within SASS and is responsible for delivering recruitment plans that support the University’s strategic acquisition targets.
