  • Commencement Salary: $119,598 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

As the Senior Manager: STEM Projects you will autonomously lead identified research, commercial and teaching and learning related projects within UniSA STEM and the Future Industries Institute (FII). You will establish and manage complex stakeholder relationships and effective business partnerships to support the strategic alignment of STEM and FII research and teaching and develop and implement strategies to ensure the focus is on opportunities and growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake high level critical analysis of data related to research areas of focus
  • Map STEM and FII research capabilities and identify funding opportunities to bolster and complement teaching
  • Undertake complex modelling of funding agreements and provide strategic advice and identify alignment with FII to leverage future opportunities
  • Lead and manage complex contract negotiations and renewals with third party providers and partners
  • Provide high level financial analysis to support discipline workforce plans

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Extensive relevant experience in project development and financial management
  • High-level negotiation skills and ability to influence executive leadership, managers and staff with tact and diplomacy
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand strategic opportunities and apply high level analytical skills to provide insightful and innovative advice and recommendations
  • High-level written skills including significant experience in preparation of strategic and executive reports
