About the position

The Clinical Trials Platform is now being set up and will provide researchers with training, expert advice and services to support the conduct of clinical trials to the highest possible international standards. The Senior Manager, Clinical Trials Platform will stablish the Clinical Trials Platform and oversee its operations.

The key function of this role is to provide high level expertise and lead a team to deliver a full service for the conduct of clinical trials, from trial design to shut down. The appointee will have detailed understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and the regulatory framework governing clinical trials, expertise in trial design and methodology and extensive involvement in supporting clinical trials.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the management of significant human and material resources, or postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or experience and expertise in the provision of strategic policy advice affecting the direction of the University, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships and proven experience and success in managing staff performance and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage clinical trial operations, including, start-up, delivery and closure activities, and provide administrative and other support associated with clinical trials and research projects.
  • Detailed understanding and implementation of ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and the regulatory framework governing clinical trials.
