About the Role:

This is a key teaching, research and course leadership role that will continue to build on the success of the Initial Teacher Education Courses in the Education Program at VU.

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Develop and facilitate learning activities, for undergraduate and postgraduate units of study, which stimulate and foster student learning 
  • Provide leadership in designing innovative curricula, developing learning materials, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses 
  • Conduct and disseminate impactful research within the Education programs area
  • Undertake a range of administrative functions connected with the unit/course taught, including moderation and assessment of student work

This is a full-time position at Academic level C classification with salary range of $129,435 - $149,246 per annum plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing contract period.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be an academic with a deep understanding of and leadership in initial teacher education programs. You will have a PhD and a merging track record of research in initial teacher education. As well as, strong communication skills, be a natural collaborator and a skilled problem solver.
