About the role:

  • Lead Curriculum Development: Spearhead the creation and launch of the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management program, ensuring a cutting-edge learning experience.
  • Engage and Inspire: Design and deliver subjects that captivate and educate our students at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels.
  • Research Excellence: Conduct high-impact research, contributing significant knowledge to the field of sport and recreation management.
  • Foster Future Leaders: Provide leadership and mentorship within the department, encouraging the intellectual and career growth of our students.
  • Build Networks: Develop vital industry connections to enhance our program's delivery and create Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students.

Skills and experience:

  • Hold a Phd or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a strong track record in curriculum development, teaching, and research.
  • Lead with a demonstrated ability to inspire students and peers alike, coupled with excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Be an expert in sport and recreation management with a reputation for impactful knowledge and experience at a state or national level.
  • Be a collaborator who values inclusivity, innovation, and care, and who can leverage data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
