About the role:

As Senior Lecturer (Nursing) you will provide academic leadership in the School by undertaking coordination responsibilities and/or other leadership portfolios as required. To develop and provide lecture, tutorial and laboratory classes in core subjects in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine programs and to contribute to the academic and administrative functions of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine. You will also be expected to make a significant contribution to the learning and teaching scholarship and/or research performance of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Leading and supporting courses and/or a suite of courses inclusive of curriculum design, course coordination and team leadership across Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing, including Postgraduate Mental Health Nursing.
  • Teaching and supervision of Honours, Masters and/or PhD students.
  • Undertaking research into practices of teaching, learning and curriculum development and producing high quality publications that strengthen ACU's research profile.

  • Total remuneration valued to $162,426 - $176,346 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $137,470 - $149,367 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
