We are seeking applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer in STEM Education.  The successful candidate will join the team in the STEM Education Research Centre (SERC), within the Faculty of Education.  SERC is an internationally renowned research centre, established in 2014, led by Centenary Professor Tom Lowrie.  Since its establishment the Centre has won more than AUD$22 million in competitive grants. SERC’s focus is on innovations in technology and mathematics education research, with a mission to shape the direction of research in these teaching professions and enhance pedagogical content knowledge whilst using innovative technology to assist children’s learning.

The successful applicant will add value to the leadership of the Faculty’s academic programs, teach within the Faculty’s courses and carry out scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline. 

This role requires candidates to contribute to a collaborative, collegial and supportive team environment, have demonstrated experience mentoring or supervising others and have a passion for growing the next generation of educators.  You would relish the opportunity of creating novel and innovative teaching and learning programs and lead exciting research projects.

To be considered you will hold a PhD in Education, have extensive experience as a classroom teacher and have a publication portfolio within a relevant area. 

It is highly desirable for the applicant to specialise in STEM, with a deep understanding of Technologies.
