We have a rare opportunity for a Senior Developer to join Curtin University on a Fixed Term Full- Time Contract. This role is to commence immediately and end in mid June 2023.


About Advancing Admissions

The Advancing Admissions Project aims to create a frictionless student application experience that simplifies the university admission process by integrating the Student Management System (TechnologyOne Product), CRM system (Oracle) and Marketing Automation (Marketo). 

It will also streamline and standardise business processes across the business areas involved.   This project will equip applicants, staff and agents with digital tools required to deliver an application experience that is connected, automated, integrated and seamless.  The solution will ultimately improve the application experience and provide a new agent portal to support and improve Curtin’s approach to student recruitment and resolve several technical and business challenges.
Core Responsibilities as Senior Integration Developer

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of integrations using AWS platform
  • Conduct peer reviews of other integration developers' code to share knowledge, techniques and ensure the integrity of the services we deliver
  • Provide quality, timely and audience-appropriate communication on issues that occur, including expected resolution timeframes, work arounds and updates when there is new or changed information
Non-Technical Requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment preferably Scrum Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence highly preferred (but not mandatory)
  • Outcomes focused individual (), be able to work with the business customers to align technical requirements with business processes.
  • Clear communicator - Ability to anticipate and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies ahead of time to avoid delays and surprises to project deliverables.
  • Be a team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks with differing priorities.
  • Experience and exposure to working with cross-functional teams across geographically dispersed locations.
Technical Requirements
  • Must have experience with integration development on the AWS platform. AWS Certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience working with AWS serverless deployments
  • Experience working with AWS Pub/Sub patterns
  • Knowledge and experience developing internet available RESTful services deployed using the AWS API Gateway.
  • Knowledge and experience consuming existing SaaS RESTful and SOAP API’s services. (Oracle & Marketo)
  • Experience using the AWS CDK
  • Experience using Python or Node.JS
  • Experience developing Lambda apps where consuming API may be throttled.
  

You’ll need to have a relevant  degree  with  extensive  relevant  experience  or  an  equivalent  combination  of  relevant experience and/or education/training

You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
