About the Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Information Technologist: Endpoint Security to join our team and provide technical leadership to a team of Information technologists to ensure the effective operation of the University’s teaching, research and administrative functions through the development and support of specific information technology environments.

Reporting directly to the IT Campus Manager the Senior Information Technologist: Endpoint Security will act as part of a larger virtual team focused on suburban and regional campus IT support to provide specialist advice on unified end point management.

Core Responsibilities


  • Provide technical leadership and motivate a team of information technologists
  • Develop, support and maintain complex, designated information technologies, services or applications
  • Coordinate incident management for significant relevant technologies
  • Coordinate the support of other designated information technologies, services or applications that are consistent with the desktop environment
  • Develop and document the standard operating environment (SOE) for end user computing systems


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience and understanding of the technologies and techniques involved in deploying a complex mix of applications to end user computing devices to provide a standard operating environment (SOE), specifically in relation to cyber security and end point devices
  • Experience in the provision of technical leadership and supervision of staff
  • Experience in supporting end user computing devices including Windows based and Apple systems including relevant software applications, client-server computing and communication technologies
  • Experience in a networked computing environment including network security, IP networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless networks and audio visual and telephony
