About Information and Digital Services 

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.  

  
About the Role 

We have an opening within our People and Finance Success Platform team for a Senior IDS Platforms Analyst & Coordinator.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for conducting analysis, support and coordination activities related to the ongoing operation and development of the Finance platforms and applications.

Some of the key responsibilities or the position are:

  • Coordinating the technical change, configuration and release management process for the relevant platforms and applications in alignment with IDS frameworks, principles, and standards.

  • Conducting requirements analysis activities, interpreting business requirements, and translating into technical requirements.   Conducting business change impact analysis to identify appropriate change management activities to support system changes.

  • Creating, supporting, and troubleshooting solutions from pre-existing enterprise components, including business processes, ETLs, reporting and analytics

  • Supporting the development of business cases for new or enhanced technologies and solutions to support the delivery of the roadmap.

  • Supporting the relevant stakeholders in developing and implementing the vision and associated roadmap for the platform and applications.

About You 

As the successful candidate, you have demonstrated experience working in a relevant Finance ERP system (TechOne’s financial management system (CES) is a plus but not required).

Strong knowledge of SQL is required to succeed in this position; experience with Crystal Reports would be valued.

Some of the key position capabilities of the role include:

  • Well-developed skills in contributing to a team reaching its full potential, including well developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • General experience in dealing with customer relationships and expectations.

  • Experience in supporting and maintaining Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and Software as a service and enterprise applications and systems.

  • Experience in supporting ERP Finance platforms.

  • Experienced in SQL, ETL, Database maintenance procedures and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)

  • TechnologyOne technical skills are valued (but not required), such as XLOne Reporting, BPA’s.

  • High level thinking, planning, and analytical skills to support outcomes and meet the University's strategic goals.
