Senior HR Advisor

The People and Culture (PaC) team want to inspire staff to share Curtin’s vision of becoming a leading global university and to proudly work with us to achieve that goal. Based in a modern, open plan office our customer focussed PaC staff work collaboratively to support a diverse range of Stakeholders University wide. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a great group of people with a variety of expertise, from our generalists to our subject matter experts.  

Guided by the Activity Lead, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of People and Culture services and support for all line managers across the University.  The incumbent works within a multi-skilled team providing operational support across line management people processes. This includes partnering with senior leaders, identifying people risk and providing appropriate and consistent advice and solutions to deliver quality outcomes across a range of areas including workforce planning, performance management, organisational capability and development, change management, talent acquisition, employee relations and industrial relations.

The key duties of this role include ensuring line managers are skilled and competent to adequately manage people processes, enabling business improvements, building sustainable and collaborative networks as well as ensuring advice and support is provided in a high quality and timely manner whilst operating effectively across a range of people management areas.
This role is a fixed term contract to cover a period of parental leave until January 2024. We are seeking someone with high level interpersonal skills with the ability to establish partnerships and build effective working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders. If you have completed a relevant post graduate qualification and have extensive experience within a Senior HR Advisory role, we want to hear from you. Previous experience in a similar role within the higher education sector would be highly regarded.
