About the Role 

As Senior Advisor Performance & Insights you will drive solutions to support stakeholders in alignment with the Universities’ vision and objectives. The role is responsible for  generating strategic insights and performance advisory, with a strong focus on providing evidence-based advice through developing projections, scenario modelling and business case input leading to improved decision-making outcomes. 

You will work cross-functionally within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio, Chancellery and faculties to support a consistent approach whilst improving systems, processes and methodology across the University. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing insights and advise to the University financial performance objectives through the delivery of critical analyses, insights and projections 
  • Managing and undertaking continuous improvement project work including the identification of opportunities performance and growth 
  • Co-ordination and analysis across the university using revenue projections and other tools and models 

Who we are looking for 

We’re looking for someone who demonstrates strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, adept negotiation abilities, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to engaging with diverse stakeholders. 

You will also have: 

  • A higher education qualification in a relevant discipline and/or membership of a professional accounting body (ACCA, CA ANZ, CPA) 
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with a high-level of expertise in Excel, including proficiency in financial modelling and pivot tables 
  • Experience in large finance ERPs, ideally Workday 
  • Some experience supervising a team and managing team priorities in an positive environment
