  • Commencement Salary: $82,077 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join the Communications and Marketing (CMK) team at UniSA as the Senior Events and Students Recruitment Officer for the UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance and UniSA Clinical & Health Sciences Academic Units. Reporting to the Manager: Communications and Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating integrated events and student recruitment initiatives that support the strategic objectives and brand position of the University. This includes coordinating student recruitment and other marketing events, as well as delivering outreach programs to prospective students. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a relevant undergraduate degree, along with demonstrated event management experience and high level interpersonal and written communication skills. You’ll be an outstanding project manager who is accomplished at juggling multiple consecutive projects and deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead delivery of an events activity plan that supports the overall strategic marketing plan for the Academic Units
  • Create and deliver a wide range of presentations and supporting material in consultation with Schools and research concentrations showcasing the Academic Units’ capabilities and services 
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to key stakeholders regarding event management and student recruitment initiatives
  • Create and deliver a wide range of presentations and supporting material in consultation with Academic Units and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain sound knowledge of University and Academic Units programs, admissions criteria, pathway options and other offerings 

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, event management, public relations or a related discipline or extensive demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience 
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a senior event management position that involved the conception and implementation of events for a wide range of audiences working across organisational boundaries 
  • High level verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including experience in the delivery of presentations to a broad cross section of people both within and external to an organisation 
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills and experience in managing multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines 
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including experience in writing and editing a range of marketing materials
