About the Role

As the Senior Diversity and Inclusion Consultant you will develop programs, frameworks and interventions that support diversity and equity across Flinders University. You will be primarily responsible for leading development of a revised action plan and driving our Athena Swan silver accreditation status. Representing Flinders, you will partner with the Colleges and Portfolios to deliver and consult on inclusion matters including participating on various committees and working groups.

You will also drive initiatives that build inclusion across the University including:

  • Developing a revised university Disability Action Plan

  • Undertaking a pay equity analysis for the University

  • Supporting best practice Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace accreditation

  • Implementing the Reconciliation Action Plan and Indigenous Workforce Strategy

  • Lead the development of a bi-annual report covering diversity and inclusion outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and driven diversity and inclusion specialist, with tertiary level qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or a related discipline. You excel in all forms of communication, particularly in your ability to advocate and influence people in addition to giving presentations and writing reports. Your experience in developing diversity and inclusion initiatives in a larger organisation gives you a strong knowledge base of best practice approaches. Ideally you also have experience in reporting on business activities and legislative areas. You are motivated to build relationships with all stakeholders and drive the overall strategic People and Culture and wider University objectives.
