Continuing, full-time position available.

This Developer opportunity within the Digital Enablement team will enable the incumbent to design, support, develop and implement for bespoke IT systems within the Education sector at the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

Working under limited direction, the Senior Developer is responsible for designing, supporting, developing and implementing IT Systems, especially SANTAS and SATACs Online Application System. The role will work closely with the Architecture and Development Lead to ensure that solutions are consistent with, and maximise the benefit of, SATAC’s platforms according to approved standards.

To be successful you will need:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example with a team of skilled specialists.
  • Experience contributing to projects and delivering on stated expectations and milestones in an agile / scrum project delivery context.
  • Proficiency in modern development frameworks, experience with integration / API scrum project delivery context.
  • Demonstrated experience in Java programming, Service Orientated Architectures, Web Applications, Desktop Applications and / or bespoke software solutions.
  • Experience in database design and demonstrated experience in the usage of SQL.

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) Limited provides reliable, efficient and innovative tertiary admissions services to its member institutions and on a fee for service basis to other tertiary education institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory.  

SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and participating fee for service institutions, as well as administering admissions aptitude tests, providing publication and research services, and acting as a one-stop shop for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
