Job Description

This is a full time position at an HEP 8, $102,256 - $115,153 plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing contract period.

About the role

The overall purpose of the Senior Data Insights Analyst is to lead development of new data, to extract, manipulate, analyse, interpret information and develop reports in response to identified business needs. A key aspect of the role is to visualise and present information in fit-for-purpose, insightful and user-friendly reports in order to inform stakeholders about a range of issues and underpin high quality, well-informed, timely decision-making by the University’s senior leaders.

About the person

Proven data, and data insights experience required – this is not just getting the data together in a basic tabular report but understanding and presenting insights in an impactful way. These insights will have a meaningful effect on the student experience and is not just for finding new opportunities for financial profit. We are interested in recruiting someone who is actively looking to make improvements in our offering to the business and can lead analytic streams within a project.

Duties

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Design, build, test and present meaningful insights from a complex range of data.
  • Be keen on technology – and don’t be afraid to learn new things or new ways of working. Data is constantly moving, and best practice is constantly shifting.
  • Lead activities of work within a project or a stream to deliver high quality outcomes for the Data Insights team
  • Work with and for stakeholders to gather requirements and to present findings.
  • Continuous Service Improvement mindset.
