About the Role
An exciting opportunity awaits an IT data centre expert to join the Australian National University.
Key Duties:

  • undertake day to day maintenance of ANU data centres and communications rooms to ensure they remain secure, reliable and efficient.
  • contribute to innovation and transformation within the data centres and broader ITS teams.
  • undertake out-of-hours break-fix support and monitoring (note this is a mandatory requirement for the role given the 24/7 nature of the data centre operations).

About You
We are seeking an experienced data centre and ICT communications professional to work as part of a small team. You must have high-level technical knowledge with the ability to contribute to the improvement and development of best practice data centre and ICT communications rooms operations. We welcome applications from individuals who possess the following attributes:

  • Experience in the design, installation, maintenance and change management of data centre and ICT communications room infrastructure and systems, and technical delivery of projects.
  • Ability to work productivity and autonomously in a small team.
  • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including non-technical staff.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills including in writing technical documentation
