  • HEO8 – TRP $123,021 - $140,678 inclusive of 17% superannuation 

About the position

At La Trobe University, the Library is the heart of teaching and learning support. The Library Learning Services (LLS) team comprises specialists distributed across five campus locations, dedicated to enhancing the learning experience and academic success of our students. Together, they offer a diverse range of learning and teaching support services within and alongside the curriculum of La Trobe’s ten Schools and numerous disciplines.

Four Senior Coordinators share responsibility for leading and coordinating this team of specialists and managing the day-to-day design, development, delivery, and evaluation of a suite of teaching and learning support services and resources. Under the direction of the Manager, Library Learning Services, each coordinator supervises approximately 6-8 professional staff, while also serving as the wider team’s champion for a particular service area. In this case, we are seeking a champion to advance the team’s capacity to deliver pedagogically and digitally effective learning objects and other resources.  

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Completed a postgraduate degree in a relevant area; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience creating and assessing learning services and/or digital resources.
  • Proven experience in leading, motivating, and managing a complex team.
  • Experience setting priorities, developing plans, making decisions, and evaluating outcomes to deliver effective services.

Desirable

  • Applied experience in education or learning design.
  • Experience creating content for a Learning Management System.
  • Teaching and learning experience in a tertiary setting.
