Reporting to the Manager, Facility Assets, the position provides strategic project briefs within the Facility Assets group, for delivery of asset renewal works and liaise with consultants for project assessments.

As a Senior Coordinator, Asset Lifecycle you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of facility assets lifecycle and renewal program
  • Provide specialist advice and services to the University in relation to proposed scope of works, asset lifecycle management and data analytics
  • Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced, constructive feedback considering individual capability and team performance, in alignment with Deakin’s code of conduct and core university strategies and policies that promote a safe, sustainable and productive working environment.
  • Develop strong stakeholder networks and engagement programs across all levels of the University to foster engagement and buy in to support the effective application and continual improvement of facility infrastructure
  • Actively engage and enable collaboration, consultation and partnership across teams with a diverse range of stakeholders to negotiate complexity and develop inclusive and accessible solutions that achieve strategic goals    

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience relevant to field of expertise including good knowledge of the building industry and practice with either a trade, facilities management or planning background.
  • Experience managing contractors to set standards and understanding of contracts and agreements
  • Experience in high level briefs creation.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle management preferred but not essential in building / construction industry.
