Manage the Disability Resource Centre team and other associated services across the university to deliver the highest quality support to students and the university community. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivering and evaluating Disability Resource Centre services to the university in line with the Commonwealth Disability Education Standards and relevant University plans
  • Promoting teamwork and providing tailored coaching to enable individuals to deliver high quality solutions and the achievement of goals
  • Analysing problems, weighing up a range of options to identify accessible and inclusive solutions and translating complex issues into clear and understandable goals and targets
  • Actively encouraging and coaching others to question traditional assumptions, promoting ideas and reviewing practices and policies and translating into workplace improvements
  • Establishing systems and procedures to guide work and tracking progress and striving for excellence and continually evaluating progress and effectively overcoming barriers to achieve outcomes
  • Using accepted theory and practices to develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies
  • Using understanding of the client context to anticipate needs, tailor services, improve service offering and ensure a high-quality outcome by addressing client feedback and setting service standards
  • Interpreting needs and offering pragmatic, inclusive and sustainable solutions based on research and in alignment with University context and contemporary practices

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience in the disability and inclusion sector and/or education/training
  • Experience in leading successful and collaborative teams in the disability and inclusion sector
  • Experience in working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and partners to achieve appropriate outcomes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
