About the Role
Working as part of our new People Services portfolio and reporting to the Manager: Recruitment Central, you will share responsibility for managing and facilitating strategic and operational recruitment activity and the engagement of new employees, particularly Senior Staff across the University. Joining this large, well established, and highly successful team, this is a hands on recruitment role managing professional and academic positions. You will contribute to our team orientation, commit to high levels of service excellence and provide constructive leadership to your three team members. You’ll also work with us to make sure we have fun at work and hire only the best talent.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the management and facilitation of recruitment activity and strategy
- Utilise multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates
- Influence and support the delivery of strategic workforce recruitment initiatives
- Engage in a partnership approach to recruitment by providing expert advice, together with an understanding of the environmental context, to lead, influence, and coach managers and staff regarding sourcing and best practice recruitment of staff, particularly senior staff
- Build and maintain solid networks and credible working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff and PTC colleagues
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in recruiting to senior positions in a complex environment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with proven experience in providing a strategic, credible, and trusted consultancy service to a broad range of stakeholders (including senior staff)
- Relevant experience and expertise in building, leading, and managing client focussed teams and significantly contributing to achieving overall team objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or a related area or extensive equivalent experience gained within a complex business environment
