In an exciting era of new leadership, and as we implement a new, future orientated service delivery model, we are looking to appoint a Senior Consultant: People Central to lead and manage a new staff and manager facing HR service hub called ‘People Central’. People Central will bring together core HR services and operations support making it easier for staff to know where to go for swift resolution of their day to day employment-related queries and to access consistent advice and support.

Joining the people team at UniSA as we transition to a new structure, you will directly contribute to the transformation of our service delivery model by leading a newly established team of people consultants and HR administrators providing advice and services to staff across the University.

About the Role

The Senior Consultant: People Central is a newly created role you will get the opportunity to shape, leading a team of consultants in our newly established staff service hub ‘People Central’.

As a people-focused, authentic, and innovative leader you will be a key contributor to driving a culture of customer service excellence and instilling a business and solution focused approach to HR service delivery. The focus of this position is to ensure a customer service focus is to the fore in all advice and services, that the University’s objectives are realised, and that continuous improvement is a hallmark of the team’s commitment to service excellence.

About you

You will be a motivating, energetic, pragmatic and outcomes orientated leader. You will be a creative and innovative thinker, passionate about people and making a difference to their experience at work. With a mindset that’s always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities and incorporating best practice HR, you will thrive in a complex environment and be motivated to contribute to a new era of service delivery to staff across the University. To be successful in the position you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Related experience and expertise in, leading, and managing client focused teams, delivering professional HR advice and solutions, including policy advice and interpretation to managers and staff in a large organisation.
  • Experience leading a high performing team
  • Proven experience interpreting policies and enterprise agreements to achieve outcomes that enable people to achieve their objectives.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaboratively engage with and influence key stakeholders
