  • Base Salary HEO 7 $100,032 p.a., + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a Senior Clinical Data Analyst to be part of the GambleAware team, to provide high level data management knowledge and expertise to the research

team, including data collection, reporting and management, to support the clinical requirements for the University's GambleAware Clinics.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead the implementation and optimisation of systems (including PowerBI and Sharepoint)
  • work collaboratively to plan for data collection and test data collection methods in a variety of systems,
  • collect review and improve business processes, creating automated and specialist data reports with visualisations, reporting on data quality and
  • attend clinical governance meetings and identify efficiency improvements in data processes.

The Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic is the only university-based gambling treatment clinic in Australia and the largest clinic at the University of Sydney and is based within both the School of Psychology and Brain and Mind Centre. Funded by the NSW Office of Responsible Gambling, the Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic is the largest GambleAware provider and is the lead in the Sydney Central, Western Sydney, and South-West local health districts. About you

  • a tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience

  • extensive experience in high level data analysis, planning, and production of data reports as well as providing insights

  • Demonstrated experience in solving complex problems and improving business processes excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating skills and a

  • demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational matters

  • can work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal work

  • experience in data management in clinical trials or health related environment is desirable

  • knowledge of common electronic data capture Systems (such as Sharepoint, Power BI etc)

  • Strong computing skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
