Overview
Strategic and Governance Services (SGSC) supports ECU’s Council, senior executive, schools, professional service centres and other key groups that require advice and assistance from the strategic and operational governance functions of the University.  

The Strategic and Governance Services Centre is comprised of the Directorate and five functional areas supported by a Centre Operations team:

  • Academic Quality and Standards
  • Enterprise Risk
  • Legal and Integrity 
  • Strategy and Performance
  • University Governance

The Centre Operations team provides broad centre administrative support including travel arrangements, web authoring, event management, meeting support and policy database management. The Senior Centre Operations Officer is responsible for the effective, efficient and timely completion of more complex projects and assignments through the use of high-level administrative and interpersonal skills, and ensuring compliance with ECU policies, processes and standards. 

This role may be assigned specific accountability for the provision of high- level administrative support to specialised functions within Strategic and Governance Services.

The successful candidate will display:

  • High level of professionalism with an ability to interact with all levels of the organisation (both internal and external).
  • A self-starter who is happy to work within a team as well as autonomously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines.
  • An understanding of university processes and systems is advantageous.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624pa (HEW 5) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
