About This Opportunity 

We are actively recruiting a Senior Business System Analyst to join our innovative team.

In this position, you will lead business analysis initiatives, focusing on the transformation of business requirements into strategic system designs for our large-scale ERP and CRM systems. Your responsibilities will extend to the broader enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Be at the forefront of cybersecurity initiatives, promoting compliance with the Cyber Security Policy and ensuring adherence to established procedures.

  • Understand business needs, designing solutions to leverage cutting-edge technologies for long-term benefits, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business processes.

  • Assess feasibility, recommend innovative approaches, and translate business requirements into precise system specifications.

  • Project management of significant IT projects, resolving customer issues, providing senior technical advice and mentoring, and supporting testing and training activities are integral aspects of this dynamic role.

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to reduce risk footprint, ensuring compliance with legislative data retention requirements.

  • Complete data governance documentation such as Privacy Impact Assessments.

About You  

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a passion for business analysis and IT solutions.

Essential:

  • Qualifications and training equivalent to a postgraduate degree in IT, business or related field, or significant progress towards such qualifications, and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Significant experience in business analysis and requirements gathering across ERP platforms, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and peers to gather requirements, conduct analysis, produce solution designs and prioritise delivery, in accordance with agreed service delivery expectations.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to conceptualise, establish and implement new initiatives and innovative solutions within a specified framework.

  • Demonstrated ability to design IT solutions within a large ERP platform, undertaking business process modelling, and data and systems documentation in accordance with industry standards.

  • Experience working within an agile development environment, and with software development lifecycle methodologies.

  • Excellent written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and precise user and technical specifications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members and to communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and provide recommendations on relevant emerging technologies, research, methodologies and best practices and develop and deliver services that utilise best practice and appropriate technology to meet the University’s business requirements.

  • Ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines.

The successful candidate may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
