The Student Systems team is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of Student Management Systems and Student Support Systems. As part of the broader Student Administrative Systems and Learning and Curriculum Systems support functions.

Do you love working with a team and achieving great outcomes together? UniSQ Student Systems team is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and innovative Senior Business Systems Analyst who possesses a keen understanding of business processes, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of successfully bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.


What you'll do:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, your key focus will be to provide a senior level of support, functional analysis and design, and advice, to a range of users of the student information system (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions), the international admissions system, the student portal, and other systems supported by the team.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to analyse business processes, elicit requirements, and identify system solutions.
  • Author high-quality functional specifications for new and enhanced system functionality
  • Lead the testing, and the development of test plans, for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Represent the team, and provide advice, in Working Group meetings and other similar forums.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the university to identify areas of continuous improvement within the systems.

What will help you succeed:

Together with your relevant qualifications and/or experience, your ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment will be the key to your success in this role.

In addition to this, you will have:

  • Superior organisational, time-management, and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to translate business and user requirements into formal functional specifications for utilisation by ICT developers.
  • Demonstrated experience and high-level skills in providing high quality service and advice.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to confidently mentor and provide leadership to other members of the team.
  • Experience and skills using, supporting, and designing solutions for large enterprise systems.
  • Experience, or a demonstrated aptitude for gaining expertise, with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
