- Base salary range: $112,114 – $122,544 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the opportunity
As a Senior Business System Analyst, you will operate independently within a dynamic team. You will play a key role in delivering business analysis, gathering requirements, writing user stories, and redefining processes to support the successful delivery of both new and existing products. You will also establish testing strategies and plans to ensure consistent and robust service delivery across the University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyse requirements, problems, and opportunities to provide effective business solutions.
- Lead the selection of business analysis methods and tools, utilising both agile and plan-driven approaches.
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Design and lead workshops to elicit requirements or user stories.
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed documentation.
- Develop, refine, and apply analytical tools for resource analysis and cost estimation.
- Ensure consistent documentation and maintain user requirements and stories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies.
- Mentor junior staff and build their knowledge of University products and processes.
- Foster a culture of service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About you
You should have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency, along with significant experience in a Business or Systems Analyst role within large, complex organisations. You should be proficient in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, testing, and verification. Expertise in establishing testing strategies and plans is essential, as is a strong understanding of both agile and plan-driven projects. Experience in an agile environment is important, and knowledge of the Higher Education sector and business process engineering methods is desirable. Additionally, ITIL certification and Student Management System experience is a plus.
