  • Commencement Salary: $119,598 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

The Senior Business Partner is a newly created position, responsible for leading the delivery of the Student and Academic Services (SAS) partnering service to UniSA’s seven Academic Units. In this position you will build effective working relationships to strategically partner with managers and provide operational expertise to drive strategic initiatives that will improve service delivery and efficiency in the University.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the Student and Academic Services Campus teams to enhance the delivery of a customer-focused, professional service
  • Provide leadership to the Business Partners to ensure that quality support and strategic input is consistently provided to the Academic Units
  • Drive the effective and consistent implementation and quality assurance of credit assessment, articulation pathways and program development approval processes
  • Oversee the review and development of academic programs
  • Lead the implementation of seamless support services to students to maximise success, retention, and student experience

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Significant and relevant work experience as a leader and manager in a complex service environment
  • Ability to create and lead a continuous improvement culture that enhances the customer experience and improves the efficiency of business practices and ability to lead change initiatives
  • Experience working collaboratively as a member of a senior management team to achieve strategic objectives
  • Negotiating and influencing skills when working with senior staff on complex and sensitive issues
  • Resilience, tenacity, and diplomacy in building relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • High level strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills
  • Previous experience working in the higher education sector and of the profile of the University of South Australia will be highly regarded
