The Information Technology and Digital Services Branch is a part of the University’s Division of University Operations, which provides enabling services and resource capabilities to support the University’s teaching and research objectives and activities.  ITDS provides services and support to the University of Adelaide community of over 25,000 students and 3500 staff members.

Working under broad direction, the position of Senior Business Analyst is a multi-faceted role that provides support across a range of ITDS projects and operational activities. We are seeking an innovative Senior BA with an IT background and experience with both traditional and contemporary BA methologies and the ability to tailor business analysis expertise based on allocated project/s.  

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, conducting feasibility studies, developing business case, and Design Thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, TQM and / or related Lean methodologies leading to tangible business benefits.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior BA through the stages of SDLC, application development environments and methodologies, and proficient in the use of contemporary BA tools such as Miro, Confluence, JIRA, and process mapping tools.
  • Working knowledge of current best practice in Business Analysis (e.g. via CBAP certification or in-depth knowledge of BABOK or demonstrated experience in complex projects) and extensive experience in the Application Development domain within complex environments.
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and facilitation skills, with the ability to produce high quality documents and extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, expectations and relationship management.
