  • Full-time, fixed term position for up to 2 years with a salary in the range $106,838.31 - $119,780.70 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. Possible extensions based on future pipeline for Salesforce implementations at the university.

  • The opportunity to work on cutting edge Salesforce technology implementation and the transform business to a future state applying business process reengineering principles.

  • Prior experience with Salesforce implementation and Higher Education setup will be bonus.

  • Based at our St Lucia campus


About This Opportunity 

The Senior Business Analyst autonomously identifies, defines, and converts business requirements into recommendations and system designs, ensuring broad applicability across the University. They confidently lead projects with undefined scopes, determine requirements, and engage with senior stakeholders, collaborating with various teams for effective delivery and support of applications.

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Analyse business processes, operational requirements, and issues, identifying solutions for improvements in automated and non-automated components of processes.

  • Translate business requirements into system specifications, including process flows, user stories, wireframes, and concept diagrams. Own and maintain design documentation throughout the project life cycle.

  • Serve as a translator between technical teams and the client’s business community, collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into documentation. Collaborate with solution architects, business stakeholders, project managers, and developers for successful and timely delivery.

  • Plan system and development deployment, ensuring compliance with software standards. Create and perform system tests for quality assurance. Facilitate workshops, prepare solution designs, and engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance service efficiency and support stakeholders through change management.


About You  

​We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has experience working directly with senior leaders. You will be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to work autonomously within an ambiguous project to drive the project forward.

Essential

  • Possess qualifications equivalent to a postgraduate degree in IT or a related field or show significant progress towards such qualifications. Demonstrate extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.

  • Demonstrate experience in facilitating productive stakeholder workshops or user interviews for rapid and accurate requirement elicitation. Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conceptualize, establish, and implement new initiatives and innovative solutions within a specified framework.

  • Demonstrate experience in mapping, analysing, refining, and modelling complex business processes. Exhibit the ability to develop management documentation (e.g., ROI analysis, Business Cases, Solution Proposals) to support organizational operations. Show demonstrated ability in designing solutions in transformational projects, documenting clear and precise requirements, process mapping, and developing solution descriptions in accordance with industry standards.

  • Showcase the ability to research, evaluate, and provide recommendations on emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices. Possess a comprehensive understanding and substantial experience in a project environment, with strong appreciation of project management methodologies and concepts. Demonstrate strong interpersonal influencing and communication abilities with a diverse range of stakeholders, along with excellent written and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience in the Higher Education industry.

  • Possess knowledge of workflow automation and business process digitization platforms. Showcase experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.

  • Exhibit experience working with Salesforce, including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. Previous deployment experience of enterprise customer relationship management software is highly desirable.
