Curtin University have a rare opportunity for a Senior Automation Test Analyst to lead, develop and drive the automation test frameworks from strategy through to implementation in projects and programs.

We are building a revolutionary digital services data centre powered by Amazon Web Services, revamping our approach to identity management and designing a roadmap of ground-breaking innovations that will transform our digital experiences for our students and staff.

We are looking for top talent who are excited about the power of digital, want to be part of an exciting transformation project while participating in our industry leading team development program called ElevateU.

You’ll focus on:    


  • Collaborating with the program test team & project team members to co-ordinate activities, identify and highlight risks and issues, provide estimates of work required and give regular updates during daily stand-ups
  • Lead the development of the Test Strategy with good understanding of the development life cycle and areas of testing and methods
  • Develop high-quality test documentation such as test plans, test cases (automated &manual) and test reports
  • Provide advice and leadership to project teams to ensure that the testing approach (automated & manual) is appropriate and targeted to the required functions and to an appropriate depth
  • Develop end to end automation suite for progressive and regression testing to minimize the effort spent on overall testing
  • Create and execute API tests with API using SOAP/REST protocols
  • Create and execute functional and automated test cases/test scripts and report defects in
  • Set up test cycles and reporting dashboards in test management tool
  • Ensure the readiness of test resources such as test environments, user access and workstations
  • Train the existing manual testing team
  • Inputs into testing standards across DTS

You’ll need to have a relevant Information Technology Degree and/or relevant experience in an Automation Test Manager/Lead Role.

As this is a continuing role (Permanent) you will also require permanent ongoing work rights in Australia to be considered.
