  • Salary range: Level 7 $90,862 – $100,814 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropic and community strategies. The team works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and alumni engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor and community relations to advance the University goals.

About the opportunity  

The Senior Alumni Engagement Officer supports UWA’s alumni engagement goals, helping to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our graduates . Under direction from the Senior Alumni Engagement Manager, the Senior Alumni Engagement Officer will plan, implement and evaluate alumni engagement activities, including volunteer programs and initiatives, with a goal to maximise UWA relevance in the lives of graduates along with active and meaningful alumni participation in the life of UWA. 

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level consultation, collaboration and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide advice and support senior staff and members of the Executive
  • Proven ability to build lasting business relationships, provide excellent client service and work effectively with people, including senior leaders and volunteers
  • Highly developed management and organisational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent research, analysis, communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, including experience preparing and presenting proposals and reports, eDMs and social content
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated CRM database highly desired
  • Proficiency in a range of software  including MS Office suite and CRM databases
