About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Adviser in Careers and Employability who will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and guidance to students, facilitating their career planning and enhancing their employability skills. You will contribute to the development and implementation of diverse programs and activities tailored to various student cohorts and industry needs. Working collaboratively with different departments and student groups, you will design inclusive and equitable initiatives that foster student engagement, leadership, and successful career outcomes. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives and contribute to their long-term success in career development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively plan and seek opportunities for a first-class employability learning program that effectively and efficiently enables students to build employability skills
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of careers and employability central service programs and activities
  • Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders on the provision of targeted support and programs for assigned cohorts that, where possible, are relevant to stage of study and discipline and / or industry sector
  • Deliver learning support programming through group, one on one and online modes to enable students to fully leverage opportunities for career and employability development

Who we are looking for
We're seeking individuals with excellent facilitation and communication skills, both oral and written, along with proficient stakeholder management abilities to cultivate lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • Relevant education or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in a service environment with theoretical and practical knowledge of careers and employability program
  • Experience in training and workshop facilitation
  • Proven record of service-excellence with ability to ensure a client centred, coordinated and responsive approach to service

The Careers and Employability team and service support students to build, transfer and translate university learning, skills and other experiences into employability learning and work-related and opportunities. We help students to reflect on, research and explore their career direction, make the most of experiences and navigate transition by providing expert advice, employability skills development, industry and employer engagement, interactive tools, online resources and collaborative delivery with University colleagues into and alongside the curriculum.
