  • Part time (0.5 FTE) for 9 months, located on the Darlington Campus in the Faculty of Engineering
  • Opportunity to provide a broad range of administrative and operational support to the School of Electrical and Information Engineering
  • Base Salary $91K p.a. - $98K p.a. (HEO6) + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Administrative Officer to provide a broad range of administrative and operational support to the School of Electrical and Information Engineering including the preparation of documents, responding to complex queries, exploring matters, and sourcing solutions etc. for the work area. The incumbent may be required to provide guidance and support to more junior administrative staff, utilising their extensive administrative experience and judgement, helping to analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes.

About you

  • administrative experience in a tertiary organisation, working knowledge of academic institutions, structures and the higher education sector
  • a working knowledge of software programs such as Sydney Student, PowerBI, and Canvas
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • experience in servicing committees
  • strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in drafting reports/ business cases
  • experience in providing senior administrative support
  • Experience developing and implementing administrative processes to improve efficiency.
