  • Salary range: Level 6 $83,005 – $87,723 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

The Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre (IOMRC) is a collaboration that brings together four of Australia's leading research organisations working in and around the Indian Ocean:

Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (Fisheries)

Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)

Oceans & Atmosphere (CSIRO)

UWA Oceans Institute

The collaboration includes the development of multi-disciplinary IOMRC collaborative research initiatives that will significantly advance Australia's marine science capacity, capability, and profile.

About the opportunity  

As the appointee you will, under general direction, provide senior administrative and executive support and direction to IOMRC Crawley and IOMRC Watermans.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency
  • Substantial and extensive relevant senior administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, filesharing systems, internet use and email, demonstrating appropriate knowledge of good practices for data security
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
