Part of Edith Cowan University (ECU), the western Australian Academy of Performing Arts has played a pivotal role in the careers of many of its stellar alumni, including Hugh Jackman, Frances O’Connor, Marcus Graham, William McInnes, Lisa McCune, Lucy Durack, and many more.

This position, which reports to the Operations Manager provides highly professional and comprehensive administrative support and assistance to WAAPA staff and secretarial support to the Executive Dean and the School leadership group. This role also works with confidential and sensitive information where privacy is essential.

The Senior Administrative Officer also undertakes special projects as requested, including but not limited to, research and analysis, communications with stakeholders, progress monitoring and preparation of reports.

Key Criteria
To be successful you will have extensive experience in an administrative support role, with experience as a personal assistant or executive officer highly regarded and the ability to demonstrate:

  • A thorough understanding of, and excellence in, the practices, systems and procedures of providing administrative support
  • The ability to plan and co-ordinate multiple projects, in compliance with organisational and external policies, processes and standards
  • The ability to work in a confidential environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement and operate with tact and discretion

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $73,257 to $81,404 pa (HEW 5) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
