This is a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $88,099- $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

About This Opportunity
This Senior Administration Officer will offer advanced executive assistance and administrative support to the Professor of Indigenous Education, while also aiding other senior officers and staff within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Unit (ATSISU). The role serves as a primary point of contact for matters concerning the portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Professor of Indigenous Education, ensuring confidentiality and efficiency.
Manage scheduling, appointments, and preparations for meetings, both on and off campus.
Coordinate responses to correspondence and enquiries, working closely with relevant staff and offices.
Assist with travel arrangements, financial administration, and HR support as needed.
Undertake ad-hoc administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Professor of Indigenous Education. This includes representation in Academic Administration Committees, managing timetabling, handling student extension requests for Academic Course Coordinators, and related duties.
Drafting of correspondence, briefings, reports and materials as well as general research administration support ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.

About You

You will be a highly motivated, experienced, and multi-talented Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Senior Administration Officer, and be able to demonstrate the following:
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in university administration.
Proven high-level administrative skills supporting senior staff with responsibilities including organising meetings, general research, travel arrangements, correspondences, finance, and HR activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and drafting various materials.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently or in a team, with discretion and adaptability.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
