About the Role 

Reporting to the Team Leader: Academic Services, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the Academic Services Officers. This includes liaison with key stakeholders, resolution of issues and the consistent interpretation and application of the University’s academic administration policies and procedures within the Academic Unit, and undertaking administrative activities associated with the delivery of the Academic Unit’s programs and its research and consultancy activities.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Undertake administration duties associated with the Academic Unit’s academic workload activities. This includes data entry of academic staff workload as directed by Dean of Programs and liaising with the Operational Finance Analyst to resolve Curriculum Activity Tool system issues as required
  • Undertake administration activities for the Academic Unit’s programs and courses in consultation with key stakeholders. This includes implementation of program and course changes including student transition, preparation and review of course materials, assessment, academic review and academic integrity processes, and Academic Unit specific scholarships, awards and credit transfer processes
  • Provide high level program accreditation administration support to Program Directors and Dean of Programs in implementing compliance, coordinating documentation, and assisting with advice against regulatory requirements and University policies and procedures
  • Provide senior support for the Unit’s timetable activities 
  • Provide executive support to the Academic Unit’s committees and Advisory Boards (which include external and professional representation), including the development of documentation and reports and following up action items as appropriate

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a senior administrative position in a complex organisation, involving the provision of advice and recommendations to senior staff
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective synthesis of information and data from multiple sources, and the provision of high-quality reports
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines
  • High level verbal and interpersonal skills including experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to an organisation to deliver quality customer service
  • Previous experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
