  • Commencement Salary: $71,205 per annum plus superannuation


About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader: Academic Services, you will offer specialist advice and administrative support to the Academic Unit, including resolution of issues and the consistent interpretation and application of the University’s academic administration policies and procedures within UniSA STEM.

You will also support the unit in program and course amendments, result entry and moderation, student grade appeals and apply University academic policies and procedures.

The Senior Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing leadership to the Academic Services Officers team, whilst undertaking administrative activities associated with the delivery of UniSA STEM’s programs and its research and consultancy activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leading and setting an example for the program services team by providing high quality work and customer service
  • Act as the first point of contact, work closely with key stakeholders to communicate and share relevant information, and to resolve complex issues
  • Provide specialist knowledge that contributes to the development of the unit
  • Develop, maintain, and review course materials and implement changes as appropriate
  • Contribute to projects relating to the academic services function, promote continuous improvement practices and a customer service culture
  • Resolve issues related to program and course development, credit, exam management, moderation and results entry
  • Develop, maintain and review course materials and implement changes as appropriate

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant post-secondary qualifications or demonstrated skills, knowledge & experience in a senior administrative position in a team-based environment
  • High level verbal and interpersonal skills including experience working with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • High level written, research and analytical ability, as well as strong organisation and prioritisation skills
