The Raine Study

  • Salary range: Level 6 $83,005 – $87,723 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

The Raine Study is one of the largest successful prospective cohorts of pregnancy, childhood, adolescence, and now young adulthood to be carried out anywhere in the world. The index participants (approximately 2000) are now around 32 years of age, and their parents are now around 60 years of age. There are currently more than 150 researchers from 14 broad areas of research utilising the Raine Study data. Over 500 peer reviewed journal papers have been published on the Raine Study.

About the opportunity  

You will provide support for the scientific aspects of all portfolios including the Scientific Management and Review Committees, the Special Interest Group leaders, and the wider Raine Study researcher community.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in epidemiology or a related health science field
  • Considerable relevant experience in health-related research and project management
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical analyses of health or related data analyses
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service
  • Demonstrated understanding of methods relating to epidemiological studies and public health research
