Overview
Edith Cowan University’s School of Education is Western Australia’s largest provider of Initial Teacher Education programs. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced School/Technical Officer professional to become part of an interdisciplinary team that provides administration and technical support to our teaching and research programs.

The combined Technical/Administrative Officer role on the Southwest Campus requires a flexible and organised candidate to support the School of Education deliver its academic program and associated processes to the Southwest (SW) campus. The role is required to manage multiple responsibilities in technical and administrative tasks, communicate and act as a link between campuses and support accountabilities for consistency and equity in delivering our educational program. In addition, the Tech/Admin role also provides support and coordination for Teaching Performance Assessments (TPA), in which approx. eight hundred students per year are assessed by panels of three before securing their degrees. the position also acts as the Health & Safety Representative for the SW campus.

The ideal candidate will have a background in technical and administrative support in Western Australian educational contexts. Working with Academic Staff, students (research students and pre-service teachers), and others, who have a variety of knowledge and understanding of the discipline area. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

While primarily located at Southwest campus, the role requires a willingness to help colleagues and support administration and technical staff in other education disciplines when needed across the metropolitan campuses.

Benefits & Remuneration
This part-time (60%), ongoing position attracts a salary of between $66,813 to $71,161 (pro-rata) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
